40 Percent of Cancers are Caused by an Unhealthy Lifestyle

More than 40 percent of all cancers are caused by lifestyle choices. Based on a survey conducted in the UK, nearly half of patients are diagnosed cancers are caused by lifestyle election.


Obesity, smoking, diet and alcohol, each of which can be a cause of cancer types.  However, cigarettes became the principal cause of cancer. Smoking causes 23 percent of cancers in men and 15.6 percent in women.


"Many people believe that cancer is caused by fate or genes. However, after seeing all the evidence, it is clear that about 40 percent of the causes of cancers are caused by things that we can actually change it," said the researcher.

Researchers also found the second cause of cancer is caused at least eating fruits and vegetables at the food guy. Unlike the men, the cause of cancer in women after smoking is obese.


"We did not expect to find that eating fruit and vegetables would be important for men to fight cancer. And for the ladies, do not think if obesity are worse than alcohol," he added.
